STAR TREK Stamps Celebrate The Franchise's 50th Anniversary
While I somehow don't think things will reach the fever pitch that Back to the Future caused in 2015, the Star Trek franchise is celebrating a major anniversary this year. 2016 marks the 50th year of the property's existence, and the release of Justin Lin's Star Trek Beyond isn't the only way fans can celebrate.
The U.S. Post Office (via Deadline) has revealed four new stamps that pay tribute to Gene Roddenberry's creative space western, with images of The Enterprise, the Vulcan salute, the Star Fleet symbol, and the teleporter. Add them to your stamp collection (does anyone still collect stamps? Is that still a thing?) or just send some snail mail with an extra dash of geekery in 2016.
