STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS Season 4 Sneak Peek Teases Wild Genre Adventures
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has only just launched its fourth season on Paramount+, with the premiere arriving on Thursday, July 23, but the creative team was already looking ahead during the franchise's Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con.
One of my favorite parts of Comic-Con every year is sitting in Hall H for the Star Trek panel. The fans always bring great energy, and it's a blast seeing what the cast and creators are excited to share next.
This year was no different, as co-showrunner and executive producer Akiva Goldsman gave attendees a fun preview of what's coming for the rest of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4.
If you've been enjoying the season premiere, there's plenty more on the way. New episodes will continue to debut every Thursday through September 24 on Paramount+.
Season 4 finds the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, led by Captain Christopher Pike, continuing their mission into the unknown while dealing with personal struggles and dangerous new threats.
But if you've followed Strange New Worlds since the beginning, you already know this series loves to surprise fans by jumping into different genres, and it sounds like the creative team is leaning into that approach once again.
This season will take the Enterprise crew through a wide range of adventures, including stories inspired by westerns, horror, disaster movies, and, yes, an episode featuring the characters as literal puppets. It's exactly the kind of unpredictable storytelling that has made the series so much fun to watch.
The character relationships also continue to evolve. La'an's adorable relationship with Spock keeps developing, while Pike is navigating life in the aftermath of Batel. Meanwhile, Scotty and Ortegas are beginning to build a relationship that looks like it could become something much more meaningful as the season unfolds.
Season 4 stars Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, Babs Olusanmokun, and Martin Quinn, with guest stars Carol Kane and Paul Wesley.

I've been a huge fan of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds since it first premiered because it perfectly captures the adventurous spirit that has always made Star Trek special while giving us a crew of characters who are incredibly easy to root for.
Every season has delivered memorable episodes that aren't afraid to experiment, and Season 4 looks like it's continuing that tradition with some wildly entertaining ideas.
Between the horror story, western adventure, disaster movie, puppet episode, and the ongoing character arcs, this season looks like it's packed with exactly the kind of creative storytelling that makes Strange New Worlds stand out.
I can't wait to see where the Enterprise heads next!
