STAR TREK: STRANGE NEW WORLDS Season 4 Trailer Teases the Path to Kirk’s Star Trek Era

Paramount+ has released a new trailer for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4, and it looks like fans are in for another thrilling ride packed with action, adventure, emotion, mystery, and the sense of exploration that has made the series such a hit.

The new footage offers a glimpse at what’s ahead for Captain Christopher Pike and his crew as they continue charting unknown corners of the galaxy.

While the trailer is loaded with exciting moments, one of the more interesting scenes features a conversation between two characters whose friendship will eventually become one of the defining relationships in the franchise: Spock and James T. Kirk.

Played by Ethan Peck and Paul Wesley, the pair share a meaningful exchange that hints at the growing bond fans know will become legendary as the timeline moves closer to the events of the original Star Trek series.

Paramount+ released the official synopsis for the upcoming season, which reads: “In season four of the Paramount+ Original Series, the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise—led by Captain Christopher Pike—embark on a series of thrilling and emotional adventures across the stars.

“As they journey to strange new worlds, they will battle inner demons and external threats, encounter colorful new characters, reunite with familiar faces, and confront terrifying aliens. Through it all, they strive to embrace a bright, hopeful future.”

The series has balanced classic episodic adventures with strong character-driven stories, and Season 4 appears ready to push those elements even further. It also conveniently leaves out any mention of the puppet episode that fans already know is on the way.

The cast returning for the new season includes Anson Mount as Pike, Rebecca Romijn as Una Chin-Riley/Number One, Peck as Spock, Jess Bush as Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Uhura, Melissa Navia as Erica Ortegas, Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M’Benga, and Martin Quinn as Scotty. Carol Kane returns as Pelia, while Wesley once again appears as Kirk.

With the series already confirmed to end with a shortened fifth season, every new episode feels a little more significant. Season 4 looks packed with the kind of wonder, heart, and larger-than-life sci-fi adventure that has made Strange New Worlds one of the strongest modern entries in the franchise.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 4 premieres on Paramount+ on July 23. New episodes will arrive weekly on Thursdays through September 24.
