STAR WARS: BATTLE POD — "Concept to Cockpit" Video

I recently had an opportunity to play the Star Wars arcade game released in 1983. Its line-rendered 3D graphics were impressive, but the gameplay was pretty limited...oh how times have changed. Last year Lucasfilm and Bandai Namco announced Star Wars: Battle Pod, which would have an immersive pod shaped screen, rumble seat, blowing air, and surround sound. If you haven't seen the trailer, you can check it out here.

Recently released on the Star Wars YouTube channel is a video titled "From Concept to Cockpit," that shows the development of the arcade cabinet. I've got a Dave and Buster's near me that I need to checkout to see if Star Wars: Battle Pod is there. I did some searches to see if there is a list of locations with the game, but have yet to find one to share.

Go behind the scenes of Star Wars: Battle Pod, a new arcade shooter from Lucasfilm, Disney Interactive, and Bandai Namco, in this special video from StarWars.com. Star Wars: Battle Pod, with an enveloping dome screen, air blasts, and rumble, redefines the Star Wars arcade experience for a new generation.
