STAR WARS Comic Reveals Who Stole Han Solo From Boba Fett While He Was in Carbonite
Han Solo has had quite an exciting and adventurous journey in the Star Wars universe before he was killed by his own son. I loved that Lucasfilm explored his earlier life in Solo: A Star Wars Story, that was a lot of fun and it’s a bummer that there’s no sequel being planned for that. But, the unexplored adventures of solo continue to be told thanks to the Star Wars comics being developed.
One of these comics is Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters which is set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. The first issue of this comic revealed an interesting surprise that a lot of fans weren’t expecting.
The prelude centered on Boba Fett and his journey to Jabba the Hutt with Han Solo frozen in carbonite. On his journey, Fett’s bounty was stolen. Lots of people have been interested in getting a story for Solo like one that’s been explored in other comics. Even Luke Skywalker and Chewbacca want to rescue their friend.
It’s in the final pages of War of the Bounty Hunters #1, where we learn who stole Solo from Fett. The whole heist was orchestrated by Crimson Dawn, specifically the character Qi'ra from Solo: A Star Wars Story. She was the mastermind behind the whole thing.
I loved this little reveal! I always wondered if we would see these two characters reunite after their history together. It’s interesting and cool to see that Han Solo passed through her hands while he was frozen in Carbonite. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out because we all know how it ends up in Return of the Jedi.
