STAR WARS: DARK FORCES Looks Beautiful in Unreal Engine 4

Never underestimate what fans will do for things they love. Jason Lewis is the Senior Environment Artist at Obsidian and he’s been working on a personal project recreating the classic game Star Wars: Dark Forces in Unreal Engine 4.

The results are absolutely gorgeous, and I want it now! I’ve played Dark Forces before and it was fantastic, albeit the graphics made the levels feel confusing at times.

This isn’t the only love Lewis is giving Star Wars though as Bluedrake42 discovered a demo for the fan project Docking Bay 94 which looks like it could serve as a demo for a remade Dark Forces. Docking Bay 94 lets you walk around Mos Eisley, but there are no enemies or action of any kind for you to interact with.

I really hope Disney pays attention to what some fans can do versus what EA is giving us and rethinks their partnership deal.
