STAR WARS: EPISODE I - THE PHANTOM MENACE Returning To Theaters For 25th Anniversary
George Lucas’ Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace is coming back to theaters for the film’s 25th anniversary. The movie first hit theaters in 1999 and fans flocked to theaters excited to see a new Star Wars story! A lot of fans walked out of that movie incredibly disappointed.
This is a movie I’ve come to appreciate a little bit more over time. Regardless of what anyone thinks about the film, no one can deny that the Darth Maul vs. Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon Jinn duel was freakin’ awesome! Just to see that on the big screen again is worth it.
The Phantom Menace is set to hit theaters ago on the May the 4th weekend starting on Friday, May 3rd. It will be in theaters for a limited time. Will you be headed to theaters to watch The Phantom Menace on the big screen again!?
The Phantom Menace sets the stage for the saga with a tale of political intrigue and the rise of Darth Vader. The Galactic Republic is in turmoil as Trade Federation forces blockade the peaceful planet of Naboo. Jedi Knights Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi are dispatched to negotiate, only to find themselves embroiled in a sinister plot orchestrated by the Sith Lord, Darth Sidious. Along the way, they encounter young Anakin Skywalker, a slave with a strong connection to the Force. As they navigate treacherous alliances and face off against the formidable Sith apprentice Darth Maul, the fate of the galaxy hangs in the balance, laying the groundwork for the epic conflict yet to come.
