STAR WARS Fan Brings To Life J.J. Abrams' Original Opening Scene For THE FORCE AWAKENS

The original idea that J.J. Abrams had planned for the opening scene of Star Wars: The Force Awakens was a pretty spectacular idea. I think it was better than the one he ended up using. Well, a fan by the name of Tim Gray has created that alternate ending in CG animation using Abrams' storyboards. He explained:

“The original concept for The Force Awakens opening was very different to what finally made it to screen. Using the original storyboards by J.J. Abrams, I have attempted to capture what this could have looked like.”

The storyboards are most likely from one of the many Force Awakens-related art books. As you'll see, Gray did a great job bringing the visualization of the scene to life. It's a call back to the opening scene for the original film, but with a cool little twist. Check it out!
