STAR WARS Fans Think Hayden Christensen's Role in AHSOKA Season 2 Is Bigger Than We Expect

Hayden Christensen is once again stepping back into the role of Anakin Skywalker, and this time, fans are convinced he's going to have an even bigger role this next time around.

With filming for season 2 of Ahsoka well underway, Christensen has now pulled out of multiple major convention appearances, leading many to believe his return in the next chapter of the Star Wars series is going to be much more substantial than his brief but powerful appearance in Season 1.

The latest clue comes from a Facebook post from Spacecon San Antonio. The convention shared, "We had attempted to have Hayden Christensen return to appear with The Emperor Ian McDiarmid......but Hayden is still filming the next season of 'Ahsoka' and is unable to commit."

That event isn’t happening until October 24-26, and if he's still booked solid through then, fans are thinking his role might be far from just a cameo.

One fan reacted to the news saying, “Hayden is filming all the way until the end of October. How big is his role in this season?!?!”

Christensen also dropped out of Manchester Comic Con, which took place the weekend of July 26-27, again due to his Ahsoka filming schedule. That means he’s already been on set and will continue filming for at least three more months.

In Ahsoka season 1, Anakin showed up most notably in episode 5, with additional flashbacks and holograms sprinkled throughout. While those moments were brief, they left a major impact. But this new filming commitment hints that fans might get much more of Anakin in season 2.

Although details about the new season are still tightly guarded, there’s growing anticipation. At this year’s Star Wars Celebration, it was confirmed Christensen would return alongside Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka Tano. And according to Ivanno Sakhno, who plays Shin Hati, things are only getting more intense.

Sakhno Previously said: "You know, there's absolutely nothing that I can speak on at the moment, and I wish I could share with you something at least, because it's such an exciting time for us to be back together, and we're currently in the middle of filming it."

"All I can say is that it is bigger and even more in-depth, and I'm really excited for people to see it. It means the world."

There’s still no official release date for Ahsoka season 2, but it’s clear something exciting is brewing behind the scenes.
