STAR WARS: GALACTIC RACER Trailer Speeds in With High Stakes and Outer Rim Attitude

Star Wars is revving its engines as Lucasfilm and Fuse Games have revealed the first trailer for Star Wars: Galactic Racer, a new racing adventure that brings the franchise’s long love affair with speed back into the spotlight.

Fans who grew up with Racer, its sequel, or the wonderfully strange Super Bombad Racing, this one is carving out its own lane with a fresh story, new characters, and a competitive edge.

Set after the original Star Wars trilogy, the game introduces players to Shade, a rising racer stepping into the shadows of the Galactic League, an underground circuit funded by Outer Rim crime syndicates.

The moment Shade arrives, the heat is on thanks to Kestar, a rival who plans to leverage the League’s criminal backing to boost his influence. And just when things couldn’t get wilder, Sebulba rolls back onto the track because the galaxy really does have a way of recycling troublemakers.

Fuse Games describes Galactic Racer as a runs based racing experience, blending the chaos of fast paced competition with a structure that encourages repeat attempts and experimentation.

Alongside its story campaign, the game includes a full PVP mode that lets players craft their own repulsorcraft and cultivate a reputation in online matchups. Between the customization, the rivalry driven narrative, and the return of an iconic podracing menace.

Lucasfilm Games VP Douglas Reilly said of the game: “From the beginning, Star Wars has drawn inspiration from racing culture, from podracing to high speed chases across the galaxy.

“With Star Wars: Galactic Racer, the team at Fuse Games has captured that spirit and elevated it into a wholly new form of racing adventure. We can’t wait for fans to experience it.”

Galactic Racer is slated to launch in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. It looks like a blast!
