STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE - New Stormtrooper Type Helmets Revealed in Photo

Director Gareth Edwards is currently deep in production on shooting Star Wars: Rouge One, which tells the story of a group of resistance fighters who are sent on a mission to steal the plans for the Death Star. Earlier today we reported on a rumor that said Peter Cushing would be brought back to life digitally to fill the role of Grand Moff Tarkin in the film. Now we have an image featuring three different Stormtrooper type helmets for you to check out!

The photo was posted by Donnie Yen, who is one of the stars of the film. The image has since been deleted from his Instagram account, but a screenshot was grabbed before it happened thanks to JediNews.

As you can see, one of the helmets features the classic Stormtrooper design, while the other two are different from anything that we've seen in the movies before. These other helmets will most likely be seen in areas of the galaxy that we've never seen before.

I will say that the black helmet is kind of similar to the Ralph McQuarrie designed helmet that you can see above which is actually art he did for the original Battlestar Galactica. I love the new designs I'm seeing here, as they perfectly fit that retro, 1970s sci-fi style of the Star Wars universe. Check them out below!
