STAR WARS: SKELETON CREW Season 2 Still Has a Chance According to Kerry Condon

It sounds like the door hasn’t closed on more Star Wars: Skeleton Crew just yet.

While Disney+ still hasn’t officially announced a second season of the Lucasfilm series, actress Kerry Condon recently shared an encouraging update that suggests the adventure may not be over.

Fans who enjoyed the show’s mix of pirate chaos, coming-of-age storytelling, and classic Star Wars energy might still have reason to hope.

During an interview with Screen Rant, Condon was asked if she’d heard anything about the future of the series. Her response wasn’t a confirmation, but it definitely wasn’t a denial either. She said: “I mean, I heard maybe possibly, but I don’t know.”

That little tease has already sparked fresh speculation online about whether Lucasfilm could be gearing up for another season of the series.

Condon played Fara in the first season, serving as Fern’s mother and one of the key authority figures on the hidden world of At Attin. Looking back on the experience, the actress made it clear she’d love to see the story continue, especially for the younger cast members who carried the series.

“You never know in this business, but I really hope so because I thought the kids were great,” she said.

That enthusiasm lines up with comments previously made by series creators Jon Watts and Christopher Ford, who have both expressed interest in returning to the galaxy far, far away for another round of episodes.

Speaking with TechRadar earlier this year, Watts said: “If people want to see more Skeleton Crew, we’d be happy to make more.”

That certainly sounds like the creative team is ready to jump back in if Lucasfilm gives the green light.

Skeleton Crew premiered on Disney+ in December 2024 and followed a group of kids from the isolated planet At Attin who accidentally found themselves stranded across the galaxy after crossing paths with pirates.

The series blended treasure-hunting adventure with old-school Amblin-style vibes, giving Star Wars fans something a little different from the franchise’s recent shows.

The series ended up earning a strong response from audiences and critics, with many fans praising its fun tone, younger cast, and refreshing standalone story. While it may not have dominated headlines the way some of the bigger Star Wars projects do, it built a loyal audience that would absolutely welcome another season.

At this point, nothing is official, but between Condon’s comments and the creators openly wanting to continue the story, Skeleton Crew still feels very much alive in the Disney+ conversation.
