STAR WARS Special Look Explores the Impact That the Franchise Has Had on Pop Culture Over Four Decades
The big marketing push for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker continues with the release of a “Special Look” video that explores Star Wars’ impact on pop culture over four decades of storytelling. The promo spot aired during The American Music Awards last night.
The “Special Look” also offers a behind-the-scenes look at The Rise of Skywalker, and in the process reveals a surprise cameo. The promo is edited together well, and it does a great job at pulling on the heartstrings of the fans. Check it out!
If you watch the video, then you saw that Lin-Manuel Miranda of Hamilton and Mary Poppins will appear in the film. That reveal is not really a spoiler for the story, just fun to see one of the cameos that will be in the film.
All eyes are on J.J. Abrams right now to see if he is actually going to be able to make this work and bring us a satisfying conclusion to the Skywalker saga. We’ll find out when it opens in theaters on December 20th.
