STAR WARS: THE DECKBUILDING GAME Will Bring Competitive Deck Building to a Galaxy Far, Far Away
It was recently announced that Star Wars is getting a new deckbuilding game! Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game was announced on Thursday by Asmodee and Fantasy Flight Games as a new way for the Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire to face off.
The 2-player board game will feature easy-to-learn gameplay and iconic characters we all love like Luke and Leia Skywalker and Darth Vader. Like other deck-builders, each player starts with a 10-card deck that is mostly just resources so you can build up your deck and hopefully ditch those weak cards. The goal is to take out your opponent’s bases. It sounds like it could be a lot of fun.
In Star Wars: The Deckbuilding Game, you and your opponent each choose a side, playing as either the Empire or the Rebels. As the game progresses, you both strengthen the power of your starting decks and work to destroy each other’s bases. The first player to destroy three of their opponent’s bases wins the game.
