STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Concept Art Shows Max von Sydow's Character

Some more concept art has surfaced for Star Wars: The Force Awakens thanks to Latino Star Wars. I'm going to dive into some potential SPOILER territory, so if you don't want to know more than you already do, don't read any further.

The first piece features the character who will be played by Max von Sydow (The Exorcist). We don't know exactly who he will be playing, but there are rumors out there. Some say that he will be part cyborg, and the boss of Daisy Ridley's character Rey, who travels around the Tatooine desert looking for junked spaceship parts. Apparently she finds a lightsaber in the wastelands at one point, and brings it back to von Sydow's character. Other rumors claim that he will be playing a character from the original trilogy or a former Sith warrior.

The second image shows off some cool new spacecraft designs, and the third is really interesting, as it shows a group of Stormtroopers standing beside a dark figure that looks a hell of a lot like Darth Vader. Now, we have seen Vader's helmet in previously released art that you can see here. Of course the villain, Kylo Ren, wears a similar Sith outfit, but that helmet is pretty iconic. Maybe he had Vader's helmet refurbished and is wearing it as a tribute to the ultimate Sith warrior.

The movie hits theaters December 18th, 2015.
