STAR WARS: VISIONS Season 3 Poster Art and New Details Revealed
Lucasfilm gave fans a big update on Star Wars: Visions Season 3 during a special panel at Anime NYC, where Executive Producer and Lucasfilm VP of Content James Waugh shared new details about the upcoming anthology.
Along with teasing the return of several fan-favorite stories, Waugh unveiled the first poster for the season, giving audiences a look at the cast of characters who will headline the new episodes.
Unlike Season 2, which broadened the series by bringing in animation studios from across the globe, Season 3 takes things back to Japan. Waugh explained why during the panel, saying:
“The real power of anime is the unique perspective of the culture and the unique perspective that is there.”
He described the new season as a “mixtape” blending fresh stories with continuations of some of the most popular shorts from Season 1. “The Ninth Jedi,” “The Duel,” and “The Village Bride” will all get follow-up episodes. In addition, “The Ninth Jedi” will expand into its own standalone mini-series, currently set to arrive in 2026.
The new poster, given to fans at Anime NYC, features the central characters from all nine upcoming episodes. It highlights returning heroes like the Ronin from The Duel, F from The Village Bride, and Lah Kara from The Ninth Jedi, alongside an array of new faces that will appear in Season 3.
Fans at the panel also got to watch an episode titled “Black.” Described as a “psychedelic battle between past and present,” the short uses abstract visuals to tell a haunting story from the perspective of a stormtrooper. It’s produced by David Production, the studio best known for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.
Other original episodes coming this season include:
“Yuko’s Treasure” – a lighthearted adventure starring a bear from Tatooine
“The Smuggler” – a gritty look at the Star Wars underworld
“The Bounty Hunters” – packed with starfighter action
“The Song of Four Wings”
“The Bird of Paradise”
Just like the previous volumes, all nine episodes of Star Wars: Visions Season 3 will drop at once when the series premieres on Disney+ on October 29th.
With the anime industry continuing to dominate streaming, Visions remains one of Lucasfilm’s most creative projects, bridging global styles of animation with the Star Wars galaxy. i’m excited to see what this series delivers next!
