Starfire Has Been Cast in The Live-Action TEEN TITANS Series

24: Legacy actress Anna Diop has been cast in the role of Starfire in the upcoming live action Teen Titans series Titans.

According to Deadline, Diop’s Starfire (aka Koriand’r) "is an alien princess from a warrior planet who seeks asylum on Earth. A no-nonsense, take-no-prisoners stranger on our world, she has the ability to shoot energy bolts and fly. Searching for her place on Earth, she’ll come into contact with the Titans."

Diop should be great in the role of Starfire. She was really good in 24: Legacy and this will obviously be a pretty high profile project for her to work on. She will join the young Australian actress Teagan Croft, who is the only other actor that has been cast in the series. She will take on the role of Raven.

The story for Titans revolves "around the eponymous group of young Super Heroes-to-be from the DC Universe. The action series centers on Dick Grayson (probably best known for his alter ego as Robin), who emerges from the shadow of Batman to become Nightwing, the leader of a fearless band of new Super Heroes including Starfire, Raven, and many others."

The show is being developed by Greg Berlanti (Arrow, DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow, The Flash, Supergirl), Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind, Cinderella Man, Star Trek: Discovery), and Geoff Johns (The Flash, Arrow). Titans is set to premiere sometime in 2018 and I'm expecting good things!
