Starz Series POWER Shuts Down Production After Crew Member Dies on Set

Sad news has come from the Starz-produced series Power after production assistant Pedro Jimenez died after an on-set accident early Monday morning. At approximately 4:30 AM ET, Jimenez was setting up traffic cones for a shoot in Brooklyn when an SUV struck him. He was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

A Starz spokesperson had this to say in a statement:

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of the members of our ‘Power’ family,” a Starz spokesperson said in a statement. “Our thoughts are with Mr. Jimenez’ family as we work to fully understand what has happened.”

Power is currently filming its sixth season, and production is shut down until further notice. The GeekTyrant crew’s hearts go out to the friends and family of Pedro Jimenez at this difficult time.
