Stephen Amell Didn't "F–king Appreciate" the Green Arrow Joke in James Gunn's PEACEMAKER Series

Arrow star Stephen Amell is not happy with James Gunn in regards to a Green Arrow joke that was included in the first season of Peacemaker.

While talking to Chris Van Vliet, Amell said that he finally watched the Peacemaker series, and in one of the episodes, John Cena’s character says that Stephen Amell’s Green Arrow is someone who “goes to Brony conventions dressed as the back half of Twilight Sparkle.”

This did not sit well with Amell, who said: “That was a little unnecessary,” Amell said. “I didn’t f–king appreciate that at all. Between the movies and Peacemaker a little bit, our show was kind of treated like shit.

“I get it, we’re on The CW, I get it, it’s TV. But I also get the fact that when people think about the most recent iteration of DC, they don’t think about the Snyder Cut – they think about the Arrowverse. We got crapped on for years, and years, and years, and this just seemed excessive.”

Now, Amell has no ill will toward John Cena, but he is a little ticked off at Gunn. He continued: “I’ve met John a handful of times, and there couldn’t be a nicer, more genuine person.

“If I should be mad at anyone, it should be James Gunn for writing that in the first place. But [John Cena] could not be a nicer guy. It’s not a personal vendetta against [Cena].”

I don’t really remember Arrow getting crapped on as it was actually a decent DC series that had a pretty big fanbase. Amell is clearly proud of the show he made and isn’t a fan of people shitting on it.
