Stephen Colbert Is Aragorn’s Twin Brother Darrylgorn in LORD OF THE RINGS Spinoff Film

For those of you who are familiar with Stephen Colbert, you know the guy is a huge J.R.R. Tolkien fan and scholar. The guy can school anyone on Tolkien’s work such as Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Director Peter Jackson even gave him a cameo role in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug as “Laketown spy.”

Well, Colbert recently visited New Zealand where he met with Peter Jackson to check out his top-secret Wellington studio. While he was there, Colbert pitched Jackson a Lord of the Rings spinoff trilogy that focused on his character, who he names Darrylgorn, the twin brother of Aragorn. He then convinces Jackson to direct the film.
