Stephen Colbert Journeys with Members of the Mighty Nein For a DUNGEONS & DRAGONS Adventure For Red Nose Day
Back in 2019, Stephen Colbert teamed up with Critical Role to help raise money for Red Nose Day. For that occasion, Matt Mercer served as Dungeon Master for a Dungeons & Dragons one-shot featuring Colbert as the only player.
Now, Colbert and Critical Role have reunited once again for Red Nose Day, but this time, Colbert is not the only adventurer. Mercer is once again serving as DM, but Colbert finds himself with Ashley Johnson, Marisha Ray, and Sam Riegel bringing level 5 versions of their Mighty Nein characters (Yasha, Beau, and Nott respectively) which is just amazing.
The brief campaign was streamed last night, but the video is now available to watch on demand and it’s a lot of fun. Leading up to the event, fans were able to vote for a few different things to happen for the game based on donations made and Colbert’s character was granted the following:
Have a bee (Eric the 2nd, following his father's footsteps) that travels with him
Be able to cast Polymorph ONCE during the adventure, regardless of class and level (but it has a small chance of going wrong)
Need to recover his dignity that has been taken from him
Start his journey with a living weapon that despises violence
Red Nose Day is a non-profit campaign raising money to help fight the cycle of child poverty and help children have healthy and better futures.
