Stephen King Revealed The Scene in IT That Scared The Sh*t Out of Him; What Scene Scared You The Most!?

Movie Stephen KingIt by Joey Paur

You would think that the master of horror, Stephen King, wouldn't be scared of anything. But, there was a scene in the new IT movie that scared the shit out of him. There were plenty of scenes in the movie that scared the hell out of audiences. Every screening I've been to was filled with the sounds of beautiful screaming.

Producer Barbara Muschietti, the sister of director Andy Muschietti, says that King sent her and e-mail after he saw the film revealing the scene that scared him the most. Here's what she said in an interview with Collider:

"And it's something that actually, Stephen King, the first email he sent to Andy when he had seen the movie, the one fear he wrote back, he said, 'I fucking love the woman in the painting, it scared the shit out of me,' so."

Yeah, the distorted woman in the painting with the flute that haunted Stanley Uris was pretty damn creepy. I can see how growing up around a painting like that would instill fear in a kid. I don't know why anyone would have that painting hanging on a wall in the first place. For me, the most terrifying moment in the film was the garage scene because I totally wasn't expecting what happened!

Neither of these scenes in the film were included in the novel. What was the scariest scene for you in the movie!?
