Stephen King Shares His Dark and Twisted Take on the Classic Christmas Movie IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE
It’s a Wonderful Life is a beloved, Frank Capra-directed Christmas movie that is watched by families every year during the holidays. I’ve loved this movie ever since I was a kid, and I don’t think a Christmas has gone by where I haven’t watched the movie. It’s one of those films that just brings joy to the holidays!
Well, thanks to Stephen King, I will never watch the film the same way again. He has a very different view of the film and after he was asked on Twitter if he would ever do a dark take on the movie, King shared his twisted take and I’ll never look at Jimmy Stewart’s George Bailey character the same again. He says:
“At the end of IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE, Jimmy Stewart appears to have gone crazy and is about the murder his whole family. He’s just got that look.”
Any you know what? He’s right, and I both hate and love that he’s right! He’s got that crazy look in his eyes, and now I want to see King write a holiday story! One thing is for sure, I will never look at the movie the same way again.
