Stephen King's CUJO Is Getting a 4K Ultra HD Release

Stephen King’s classic film adaptation of Cujo is getting a 4K Ultra HD released thanks to Kino Lorber. The company is teasing a “brand new HDR Dolby Vision master,” which will be cool. This will be a fun movie to revisit.

It’s been a while since I’ve watched this movie, but the first time I saw it had a lasting effect on me. I saw it as a kid and for years I had a fear of dogs because of this movie. It really messed me up!

The Lewis Teague-directed film centers on a killer canine, “man's best friend turns into his worst enemy. When sweet St. Bernard Cujo is bitten by a bat, he starts behaving oddly and becomes very aggressive. As Cujo morphs into a dangerous beast, he goes on a rampage in a small town. Stay-at-home mom Donna (Dee Wallace) gets caught in Cujo's crosshairs on a fateful errand with her son, Tad (Danny Pintauro). Stuck in their tiny car, Donna and Tad have a frightening showdown with the crazed animal.”

The movie turns 40 years old this year! Stay tuned for more details.
