Stephen King's IT Has an 8-Bit Video Game That You Can Play Right Now
Looking for something to pass the time? Well, you can play an 8-Bit style video game based on the upcoming film adaptation of Stephen King's It. The game is available to play right here.
We've already shared a trailer for an interactive VR experience for the movie that you can check out here. This 8-Bit game is on the complete other end of the video game spectrum. It is being promoted by new-school and old-school video game technology! I like how the 8-Bit style of this game captures the spirit of the era that the new film is set.
For a simple old-school style game, it's actually pretty fun and it can also be a little addictive. The game gives players control of the little S.S. Georgie boat that falls into the sewer. Players guide the S.S. Georgie through the sewers where it pops red balloons that are floating around because they "all float down here." Along the way, players have to dodge certain obstacles and Pennywise The Clown even pops up occasionally.
Play the game with the volume turned up because the sound is pretty creepy and you hear Pennywise's terrifying laugh all throughout the game.
