Stephen Lang Reveals That a DON'T BREATHE Sequel is Going to Happen

Director Fede Alvarez's Don't Breathe was one hell of an intense and jacked-up thriller. I thought it was a solid flick and a fun movie-going experience. It was one of those films where the audience in the theater really got into it, which always makes for an entertaining experience with films like this.

During a recent interview with ScreenRant, actor Stephen Lang confirmed that there's now a sequel that's in development. When we asked if any sequel or prequel talks had taken place, Lang confidently responded, “Oh yeah, we’re doing a sequel.”

The first movie told the story of three young thieves played by Jane Levy, Dylan Minnette, and Daniel Zovatto who try to rob a blind war veteran (Lang) but these stupid-ass kids find themselves in a deadly situation where they are in way over their heads. Their robbery attempt turns into a fight for survival.

There's no information on if Alvarez will be back to direct or what the plot will entail, but whatever it is will involve Lang. After all, he did survive at the end of the film. I wonder if he will go hunt down Levy's character, Rocky, to get revenge. I guess we'll eventually find out!

Producer Sam Raimi previously talked about his excitement for the sequel saying that it's “only the greatest idea for a sequel that I’ve ever heard! I’m not kidding!”
