Steve from MINECRAFT Is Joining SUPER SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE
A new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate character has been revealed. This morning, Masahiro Sakurai presented the newest addition to the game’s roster, and it is none other than Steve (and Alex and Zombie and Enderman) from Minecraft. I feel like Mario’s reaction in the video is pretty spot on for many fans. I’m just saying. Let’s not get too mad that other fan-favorite characters weren’t included yet as Minecraft is the best selling video game in the world and therefore does deserve a spot in Smash.
Sakurai talks about incorporating Minecraft characters into the game such as reworking stages to accommodate the placement of blocks. Unfortunately, he didn’t really dive into how the character will work, but you can tune in on October 3 at 7:30 AM PT to catch Mr. Sakurai Presents “Steve & Alex.”
It looks like Steve (and the other Minecraft characters) will be able to place blocks to disrupt opponents, run around with swords, and much more yet to be revealed. What do you think we’ll see from this popular character? Sadly, we don’t have a release date for Steve yet, but I’m sure it’ll happen soon.
