Steve Jobs Biopic Shooting in Garage Where Apple was Built - Video and Photos
Danny Boyle and Aaron Sorkin's Steve Jobs biopic has finally moved into production. They are shooting part of the film in the actual garage where Jobs and Steve Wozniak started their Apple empire.
CBS San Francisco news took some video of Jobs' old home in Los Altos, California over the weekend. I've also included some additional photos showing the detail of the completed set thanks to CNET. The 2013 Ashton Kutcher and Josh Gad film, Jobs, also shot at this location. I think it's safe to say that this upcoming film is going to be a hell of a lot better, though. Here's a description of what is included on the set:
"Cinderblock and wood shelves are pieced together along the walls. Roller skates, a Thermos, an old vacuum cleaner and 8-track player and stereo lay haphazardly about. An advertisement for a Braun electric coffee maker hangs on the wall, as does a poster featuring Bob Dylan holding a 'Get Born' sign from a film clip featuring the song 'Subterranean Homesick Blues.' And the house itself has been painted a beige color with darker tan trim, contrasting with the formerly lighter exterior."
I think it's great that they are able to film in this location. It really gives the production a spirit of authenticity. Universal is set to distribute the film, which stars Michael Fassbender and Seth Rogen. Katherine Waterston, Jeff Daniels, and maybe Kate Winslet will co-star in the movie.
