Steve Zahn Heads Into The Wilderness in Trailer For The Modern Western COWBOYS
It seems like it’s been a long time since I’ve seen Steve Zahn (Saving Silverman, A Perfect Getaway, That Thing You Do!, Rescue Dawn) in anything. For the most part, I’ve enjoyed his film work over the years and it’s great to see him take on the lead role in a new movie.
Zahn’s new film is a modern-day western titled Cowboys. The actor plays a character named Troy, “a troubled but well-intentioned father who has recently separated from his wife Sally (Jillian Bell). Aghast at Sally's refusal to let their trans son Joe (Sasha Knight) live as his authentic self, Troy runs off with Joe into the Montana wilderness. Meanwhile police detective (Ann Dowd) pursues them, but her resolve about the case is tested the more she learns about Joe's family.”
The film comes from director Anna Kerrigan, and it’s described as “a tale of rescue, family betrayal and a father and son on the run.”
Cowboys arrives on February 12th in Virtual Cinemas and VOD.
