Steven Soderbergh Is Set to Direct a Haunted House Horror Movie Titled PRESENCE

Steven Soderbergh has confirmed that he’s developing two new movie projects that are genre films. One of them is a comedy, and the other one is a new horror movie titled Presence, and it sounds like it could be interesting.

The horror movie is said to be a “psychological thriller” in the vein of horror and all we know about the story is that it takes place in a suburban house inhabited by an unknown force. So, it sounds like Soderbergh is going to make a haunted house movie, which is pretty exciting!

This wouldn’t be Soderbergh’s first horror movie, as he previously helmed the film Unsane, which follows a young woman who is involuntarily committed to a mental institution, and strange things start to happen to her.

Presence is set to start production in September, and he wants both of these film to “come out theatrically in a normal wide release.” I’m excited to see what Soderbergh does with a haunted house horror movie!

Soderbergh’s next project coming out is the limited series Full Circle, which centers around an investigation into a botched kidnapping that uncovers long-held secrets connecting multiple characters and cultures in present-day New York City.
