Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks Team Up for Cold War Thriller

Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks work really well together, and they tend to develop amazing projects together. Some of those projects include Catch Me If You Can, The Terminal, Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers, and The Pacific. They are teaming up again to bring us a film set during the Cold War. Hanks is attached to star in the project, and Spielberg is in talks to direct.

The film will be based on the true story revolving around "James Donovan (Hanks), a prominent American attorney enlisted by the CIA during the Cold War to slip behind the Iron Curtain to negotiate the release of a pilot captured when his U-2 spy plane was shot down over Russia."

I'd love to see Hanks and Spielberg work together again, and I don't see why they wouldn't on a project like this. Spielberg has yet to choose his next project and has been flirting with the sci-fi film Robopocalypse and the historical drama Montezuma. Whatever project he does next, I hope that Spielberg and Hanks eventually get around to making this Cold War thriller because you know it will be great.
