Steven Spielberg's AMAZING STORIES Revival Gets a First Look and Premiere Date

Apple TV+ has announced the premiere dates for several of their upcoming series, including Steven Spielberg’s revival of Amazing Stories. I also included a first look photo from the series, which you can see above.

There are five episodes that will all debut on March 6th, 2020. One of those episodes is titled “The Rift,” and the image you see above is from that episode. It stars Kerry Bishé, Whitney Coleman, Trisha Mashburn, Austin Stowell, Edward Burns, and Juliana Canfield and was directed by Mark Mylod.

When talking about the series Matt Cherniss, head of development for Apple TV Plus, said:

“‘Amazing Stories’ is a beloved show that has captured our imaginations, and we couldn’t be more excited to share its next thrilling iteration with a global audience of all ages on Apple TV Plus.”

Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz are showrunners on the series, and Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey, co-presidents of Amblin Television, had this to say in a statement:

“Alongside our partners Universal TV and our showrunners Eddy and Adam, we’re honored to bring a new anthology of ‘Amazing Stories’ to audiences on Apple TV Plus, which serves as the perfect platform for us to deliver the emotionally engaging, wondrous tales that families can enjoy and experience together.”

Other actors who will appear in the revival of the series include Dylan O’Brien, Victoria Pedretti, Josh Holloway, Sasha Alexander, and the late Robert Forster. This role marks Forster’s final one before he passed away in October 2019.

Additional directors for the series include Chris Long, Michael Dinner, Susanna Fogel, and Sylvain White.

I was a huge fan of the original series. It was one of my favorite shows growing up, and I really hope that this revival can capture the spirit and greatness of that original show, without having to remake the stories that have already been told.
