Steven Spielberg's HALO Series Will Reportedly Start Shooting This Fall!

Eight years ago I posted one of those stupid April Fools Day joke articles on the site about Steven Spielberg developing a Halo series. A few years later, it turned out that Spielberg was actually going to be developing one!

The series is currently set up at Showtime and after a few years of radio silence, we learned that the series was still in active development. Gary Levine, President of Programming at Showtime confirmed that the series is "absolutely still in development, still moving forward and I'm encouraged by what we've seen so far."

Well, now it looks like the project is actually starting to gain some traction! According to a new report from Production Weekly, the mini-series might actually finally begin shooting sometime this fall.

I hope this is true because I've been waiting for this to happen since I first joked around about it! It is said that the series will still be a live-action series and that it "will definitely satisfy the fans of Halo and I think also satisfy the drama audiences of Showtime."

As of right now, there is no word on who will direct the series or who will star in it, but if it starts shooting this fall, those details will be coming soon.

I'm a huge fan of the Halo franchise and I have high hopes that this series will end up being awesome.
