Stop Villains from Finding the Dragon Balls in CLUE: DRAGON BALL Z
When does board game licensing go too far? That’s the question I’m asking myself as I learn The Op has launched CLUE: Dragon Ball Z. I am a fan of CLUE. I am a fan of Dragon Ball Z. I don’t understand why they’re fusing. The game does try to make it feel more thematic, but I still just struggle to feel it click. If this is something that you’re pumped for, please let me know in the comments.
In CLUE: DBZ, players will play as Gohan, Krillin, Goku, Piccolo, Vegeta, and Gotenks trying to answer the questions of which villain (Frieza, Kid Buu, Perfect Cell, Broly, Garlic Jr., or Bojack) is going to find a Dragon Ball, where that Dragon Ball is (Tenkaichi Budokai, Kame's Lookout, Master Roshi's House, Satan City, Wilderness, Capsule Corporation, Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Korin Tower, Meadow, or Gohan's House), and which of the heroes has the best chance of stopping them. The answer is obviously not Krillin or Piccolo.
One thing that does intrigue me about CLUE: DBZ is that it appears that there are three kinds of action cards that players can use to gain an advantage. I’ve never seen these used in CLUE before, but it sure does look like an interesting addition.
If you’re wanting to see your favorite Z Warriors try to answer the above questions, CLUE: Dragon Ball Z is now available from your favorite game stores and The Op. The game retails for $39.99.
