STORYBOARDS is a New Disney+ Non-Fiction Series From Marvel's Joe Quesada That Explores How People Tell Stories

Marvel has revealed a new show for the upcoming Disney+ streaming service. However, this series will be a non-fiction piece called Storyboards. This series will see Joe Quesada, Marvel’s chief creative officer, meet with people and talk about how they tell stories. Quesada compares the series to Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown and the first season will feature 12 10-15-minute episodes with guests including Hugh Jackman, Robert Lopez, Samhita Mukhopadhyay, and Johnny Weir. Quesada told Wired:

A comparison that everyone knows is Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown. We go on locations, but instead of food or culture being the focus, the focus is a guest, the way they tell stories, and their story.

It would have been easy just to go for 12 celebrity guests, but we have a wide variety of people. The real thrill to me is to find out, ‘What’s your story?’ People tell their stories in all different ways. It’s not just writing, drawing, or filming. Athletes tell stories in how they perform. Dancers tell stories with their bodies.

As part of Storyboards, Quesada will attempt to do some of the hobbies of his guests like climbing a mountain with Ed Viesturs. The show is currently slated for a release in 2020 with nothing more specific announced yet. I think this could be a great little series to follow, who would you like to see Quesada talk with?
