STRANGE WORLD Coming To Disney+ Soon
Strange World will be making its way to Disney+ on December 23. After a less than stellar box office run, the film will soon be available for those who were simply waiting for it to be available to stream. The film is about a legendary family of explorers as they attempt to navigate an uncharted and treacherous land alongside a motley crew of a blob called Splat, the family dog, and a slew of ravenous creatures.
Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Dennis Quaid, Jaboukie Young-White, Gabrielle Union, and Lucy Liu it is disappointing that it didn’t do very well in the theaters. Those who did go out to see it seemed to like it, so I think there were probably a lot of other factors that went into it bombing. Regardless, I am one of those who didn’t get to the theaters to watch it, so I am excited to be able to stream it soon.
Gyllenhaal plays Searcher Clade, the son of a steadfast explorer. The Clades are a legendary family of explorers, and “they attempt to navigate an uncharted, treacherous land alongside a motley crew that includes a mischievous blob, a three-legged dog and a slew of ravenous creatures.” Fantastical creatures await this crew “whose differences threaten to topple their latest—and by far— most crucial mission.”
Will you be watching it for the first time when it comes to Disney+ soon? Did you enjoy it in theaters?
