STRANGER THINGS Actress Sadie Sink Talks About the Sad, Scary, and Emotional Ending to the Series
Netflix’s biggest hit series, Stranger Things, is heading toward its fifth and final season with fans anxiously awaiting the story’s conclusion, and its stars moving slowly and sadly toward the ending of this project, which began when they were all just kids. The young leads grew up together on the set of this show, so as amazing as it is to have been a part of such a great show that has launched their future careers, it will definitely be a bittersweet ending for everyone involved.
In a recent appearance on Today (via CB), Stranger Things star Sadie Sink revealed that "it's gonna be emotional, I'm sure" when asked about the end of the series. She then went on to talk about her emotions going into filming the final season:
"It's going to be awful. It's going to be horrible. These kids, this entire cast and crew, this is like — I mean, it's family. People say it all the time, but I genuinely mean it. And to think that we have to kind of say goodbye to that security and knowing that we won't be seeing each other for another season, it's scary and sad, but I think it's exciting to move on to the next chapter."
Sink has been incredible in the series, and she just turned in an Oscar-worthy performance in the film The Whale, so I can’t wait to see what else she does in her career.
Season 5 of Stranger Things will consist of eight episodes, and while we don’t know the release date, we anticipate the show to wrap up in 2024.
