STRANGER THINGS' "Barb" Lands Minor Role in Melissa McCarthy Movie
The cult following of Shannon Purser, AKA Barb, in Stranger Things has been nothing short of baffling to me. Confusing as it is, THR says the #JusticeForBarb movement has landed the actress some roles. Purser will be appearing in a minor role in the upcoming Melissa McCarthy movie Life of the Party, as well as a couple episode stint on the upcoming Archie series on CW, Riverdale.
I still don't understand the hype, but I'm happy for Purser and that such a small role has led to so much! Everyone gets a start somewhere, right? Hell, John Travolta got his start showering with other dudes (in a commercial, but still)...
