STRANGER THINGS Director Shawn Levy Says He Would Love to See Ryan Reynolds Cameo in Final Season of the Series
Shawn Levy is best known for two things - directing many episodes of the megahit Netflix series Stranger Things, and directing a couple of the biggest Ryan Reynolds blockbusters over the past couple years, Free Guy and The Adam Project. Levy was recently interviewed by THR about the fourth season of Stranger Things, which just dropped part 1 last week, as well as the fifth and final season, which is headed our way probably next year.
He said that the upcoming part 2 of Season 4 is going to “punch you right in the heart,” which is the worst thing anyone has ever said about a beloved series. But he was also asked if he would like to bring his two bodies of work together, and bring Ryan Reynolds into Stranger Things in its final season for a cameo. He responded:
“I want to see a Ryan Reynolds cameo in anything. The truth is, my career over the past half-decade has been defined by Stranger Things and my collaborations with Ryan, so it would be deeply trippy but satisfying to see my two worlds collide. So, Ryan Reynolds, get ready for season five.”
It would be really fun to see Reynolds in a cameo because we all know he would be down to do anything. It would be fun to have him in some unrecognizable capacity so we have to guess where we see him. But whether he makes it into the season or not, I am incredibly excited/sad about it. I know it’s going to be good, but I’m bummed it’s all coming to an end.
Stranger Things Seasons 1-3 and 4 Pt. 1 are all available to watch on Netflix, and Season 4 Pt. 2 drops on July 1st.
