STRANGER THINGS Director Shawn Levy To Helm Amblin's New Sci-Fi Film THE FALL

Amblin Entertainment is moving forward with a sci-fi film project from a spec script that they picked up last year. It's called The Fall, and Stranger Things director and producer Shawn Levy has been hired to helm it. 

The story follows "a newly divorced couple during an alien invasion making a dangerous trip from the city to their house in the suburbs where their children are stranded. Secrets and details of a marriage gone bad are unearthed along the way".

This sounds like a film project that fits the Amblin brand perfectly and Levy is a great director choice to take it on. Levy will also help rewrite the script that they currently have and when it's ready they'll move the project into production. 

Levy is also currently developing the feature film adaptation of the hit video game franchise Uncharted.
