STRANGER THINGS Halts Production Along With All Netflix Film and TV Projects in North America and Canada
Fans excited about the fourth season of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things may have to wait a little longer than originally planned, as the current situation we are facing has shut down production on the series, which recently started shooting. But Stranger Things isn’t the only Netflix project facing the shutdown. The streamer announced that they have halted production on all film and TV productions in the US and Canada for the next two weeks. Series outside North America like The Witcher are still in production for the time being, but everything is subject to change at this point.
Stranger Things had released a teaser on Valentine’s Day, giving fans some hope about the beloved character Hopper that got fans really excited, and then a little home video of their first table read a couple weeks later, so things were really just ramping up. Since we haven’t been given a release date yet for the next season, the series still has control over when they will release it, and fans don’t have to know whether it’s even delayed. But it still feels sad to know we were getting close, and everything came to a stop. I’m glad everyone is being cautious though, and hopefully in a couple of weeks, everything will slowly start going back to normal.
