STRANGER THINGS Season 2 Gets a Cool Promo Teaser, Poster, and Premiere Date
Netflix has revealed a few new things for Stranger Things Season 2 to up our excitement levels for the return of the series! They've released a brief new teaser for the series that says "1984 Only Gets Stranger" as our young heroes ride their bikes towards a wicked looking storm where a dark adventure awaits them.
We also have the new poster, which you can check out above featuring Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), and Will (Noah Schnapp) staring up at a giant Lovecraftian creature, who is looking down on them! It looks like quite the epic scene!
It was also revealed that Season 2 will premiere a few days before Halloween on October 27th, 2017. Netflix also provided the following timeline:
1953, date unknown – MKUltra comes to Hawkins and begins experimentation
1979 – Police Chief Jim Hopper returns to Hawkins
1983, November 6 – The vanishing of Will Byers
1983, November 8 – The vanishing of Barbara Holland
2016, July 15 – Part 1
2017, October 27 – Part 2
There's going to be a big panel for Stranger Things Season 2 at San Diego Comic-Con, where I'm sure they will reveal the first full trailer! If you're there, I'm sure it will be something you won't want to miss! Here's the synopsis provided:
It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the demagorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.
Stranger Things Season 2 also stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Brown, Natalia Dyer, Cara Buono, Charlie Heaton, and Matthew Modine. New cast additions include Sadie Sink (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Dacre Montgomery (Power Rangers), Brett Gelman (Blunt Talk, The Other Guys), newcomer Linnea Berthelsen, and ’80s icons Sean Astin (The Goonies) and Paul Reiser (Aliens).
