STRANGER THINGS Season 2 Will Be "Darker" and More "Horror Oriented" Than Season 1

During a recent interview with Emmy Magazine, the young cast of Stranger Things talked a little bit about the upcoming second season. If you're excited about Season 2, I think that you're gonna like what they had to say.

Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike on the show, said that the upcoming season will be darker and more horror oriented this time around, which I thought was pretty cool! He says:

“I think this season will be a lot [darker]. A lot more horror oriented. I think people are going to like it more than the first season.”

You know what? It's really not that hard to imagine Stranger Things getting better. When it comes to most TV series, the shows get better as they progress. I understand that's not true for every series, but for the most part, that's how it seems to go.

As for the horror aspect of the series being increased, I'm curious to see how far they take it. The first season had a ton of crazy scary horror elements, so the fact that it's being explored further is great!

Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin is the series goes on to talk about the characters being explored more and how they're emotionally scarred, saying:

“The great thing about this season is you get to see insights into each character on their own. You’re going to see a lot more into the lives of how the characters are coping with what’s been going on.... They’re all very emotionally scarred. They feel alone because their best friend is back and he’s not acting like their best friend anymore. He’s changed.”

Sounds like there will be some intriguing big changes coming to Stranger Things Season 2 and you can watch the young actors talk about it in the video below.
