STRANGER THINGS Star David Harbour Joins Marvel's BLACK WIDOW and Rachel Weisz Is in Talks

Marvel Studios has cast Stranger Things star David Harbour in Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow solo film. Unfortunately, there are no details on who exactly Harbour is playing, but the movie will be an internationally-set story “centering on Natasha Romanoff, a spy and assassin who grew up being trained by the KGB before breaking from their grasp and becoming an agent of SHIELD and Avenger.”

I like Harbour, so it’s cool to hear that he has found his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He will also join the previously cast Florence Pugh (Fighting With My Family), who will play the second female lead who has been described as a “kick ass female Bond” type character.

Harbour’s career is kind of blowing up right now thanks to Stranger Things, and as you know, he is also starring in the upcoming Hellboy reboot.

It’s also being reported that Rachel Weisz is in talks to join the film. There’s no word on who she will play, but it will be a key role in the story.

Black Widow is being directed by Cate Shortland from a script written by Jac Schaeffer. The movie is expected to be released at some point in 2020.
