STRANGER THINGS Star Gaten Matarazzo Shares His Pitch for a LEGEND OF ZELDA Animated Movie
Stranger Things star Gaten Matarazzo is a huge fan of The Legend of Zelda, and in a recent interview with Variety, he revealed that he’s been talking with Nintendo about some of the latest game titles and that’s when he talked about how he’d like to see an animated Legend of Zelda movie, and he shared his pitch:
"I'm a huge Legend of Zelda fan and I've always wanted to see a very visually and musically driven animated film. It might be challenging when most of the characters never speak, but to explore a vocally silent world where a story can be told visually and through score would be really cool."
Yeah! I’d be down for that! But, there’s no way the Hollowood machine would make a movie like that. They would take every step to ramp it up to eleven and it would up being titled The Legend of Zelda, but it wouldn’t really resemble anything from the game francise.
Fans have been wanting to see a Legend of Zelda film for years, but unless they bring in a studio and creative team to do it right, I don’t want to see it happen. I think Matarazzo should push his vision!
