STRINGAMAJIG is a New Party Game Coming Out from Fireside Games
Fireside Games recently announced a new party game for everyone to enjoy called Stringamajig. The game will have players creating artwork with a loop of string to get their teams to guess the word. It sounds like Pictionary with string. The artist will have 60 seconds to create as many pieces as possible, only moving on after someone has correctly guessed it. For each correctly guessed piece of art, the player gets one point and anyone who made a correct guess also gains a point for each of those guesses.
In addition, three types of Challenge Words are also included. The 2-Player challenge forces you to create your “drawing” with another person, but in the air. Don’t Look is exactly what it sounds like. You have to create with your eyes closed. Finally, Forbidden Word makes you lose a card if a certain word is guessed.
The nice thing, in my opinion, is that for games of Stringamajig up to 6 players, people get 2 turns as the illustrator. If you have more people, then you’ll only get one turn. This helps reign things in and not have the game on forever. A 6-player game shouldn’t take too much longer than 15 minutes. That’s pretty short for a party game.
Stringamajig will be available in April and is designed for 4-10 players ages 13 and up. The MSRP is $19.95.
