STUMPTOWN Cast and Creators Discuss the Series in Comic-Con@Home Panel
It was really fun to see the cast and creators of Stumptown sit down and discuss the series at this year’s Comic-Con@Home. The show began last year on ABC and has gotten a green light for a second season, but because of the pandemic has had a setback like everything else in the industry, so we are not as far along as normal in seeing what’s going to happen next season.
The series is based on the comic book by Greg Rucka, who also wrote the comic and screenplay for the recent Netflix film The Old Guard. The story follows Marine veteran Dex Parios, played by Cobie Smulders, who takes care of her brother, Ansel (Cole Sibus), who has Down Syndrome. Dex sets out to become a private investigator, while she battles her own demons and her own bad decisions. The show also stars Jake Johnson, Michael Ealy, Tantoo Cardinal, and Adrian Martinez.
The first season left us with some cliffhangers, and the panel below talks a little about what we can look forward to in the next season, namely the return of Dex and Ansel’s mother, and delving into the past and some reconciliation within the family. I can’t wait for this series to return! Check out the discussion below, and watch season two of Stumptown on ABC this Fall.
