Stuntwoman and Actress Zoë Bell Set To Direct The Action Comedy BOSS BITCH FIGHT CHALLENGE

Stuntwoman and actress Zoë Bell is set to make her feature film directorial debut with a film project set up at Lionsgate titled Boss Bitch Fight Challenge. The film is an action-comedy that is inspired by Bell’s viral short film of the same name and it’s being developed by writers Kirsten “Kiwi” Smith (Legally Blonde, 10 Things I Hate About You, She’s the Man) and Mamrie Hart (Camp TakotaDirty 30).

Bell’s short film was shot when she was at her home bored with nothing to do during the pandemic lockdown. The video features her picking a fight with her Boss Bitch friends and awesome mayhem ensues. You can watch that video below if you’ve never seen it or need a reminder.

Bell is best known for her work with Quentin Tarantino as a stuntwoman and actress in films such as Kill Bill and Death Proof, and she was also the stunt coordinator for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. She’s also in Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight, and Django Unchained.

Erin Westerman, president of production for the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group said in a statement: “Zoë has built up a huge fan base over the years – which is no surprise, because she’s a bona fide icon who kicks ass and takes names in a part of the industry still dominated by men. Her legend only grew with the ‘Boss Bitch’ video that everyone loved during quarantine. After a long and storied career of taking the hits, she’ll now be calling the shots.”

Meredith Wieck and Scott O’Brien will oversee the project for Lionsgate. It’ll be fun to see what Bell and her team end up delivering with this movie.
