SUICIDE SQUAD Reveals That Harley Quinn Murdered a Major DC Comics Hero
I’ve seen Suicide Squad twice already, and there’s a little Easter egg in there that I completely missed both times. It involves Harley Quinn and a superhero in the DCEU that she apparently killed.
The big reveal is mentioned during Harley Quinn’s introductory scene that lists her criminal history. According to The Wrap, there’s a big revelation there that some fans might think is cool and others might be pissed off about. If you don’t want to know the details, then don’t read ahead!
During Quinn’s intro as we get a brief and quick breakdown of her history, apparently, it says that she admitted killing Robin. The report says:
“In no uncertain terms, we’re told that Harley admitted to murdering Robin.”
I just assume this is the same dead Robin from Batman v. Superman. We saw Robin's suit in the film in a display case at Batman’s headquarters. Written on the suit with spray paint was the sentence, “HAHAHA joke’s on you Batman.” We all just assumed that was The Joker, but this new revelation seems to prove otherwise.
I can see this version of Harley Quinn pulling off that deadly deed, but at the same time, she could have just admitted to killing Robin to help protect the Joker and take the heat for him because that’s something I can see her doing as well.
In the 1988 comic A Death in the Family, it was The Joker who tortured and killed the Jason Todd version of Robin. Regardless, I imagine that one day we will get a backstory on what really happened to Robin, especially if The Red Hood is introduced into the DCEU, which has been previously rumored.
It will be interesting to see how the backstory of Robin has changed in the DCEU films. What do you think about the possibility of Harley Quinn being the one who killed Robin?
