Super-Powered Nuns Battle The Forces of Hell in Trailer For Netflix's WARRIOR NUN
The first trailer has been released for Netflix’s upcoming action series Warrior Nun. It centers around a group of super-powered magical Nuns who are battling the forces of hell. This could actually be a really cool series! I liked what I saw in this trailer and it certainly has potential. This seems like the kind of show that fans of Buffy The Vampire Slayer might enjoy.
The series is based on the manga-style comic series of the same name that was created by Ben Dunn, the story is set in the middle of an ancient war between good and evil, and it follows “a young girl wakes up in a morgue with inexplicable powers. Her search for answers brings her to The Order of the Cruciform Sword, a secret society of warrior nuns sworn to protect the world from evil. While juggling her responsibilities as the chosen one with the normal obstacles of a teenage girl, this mysterious fantasy drama is full of mystery, action, adventure, and teenage romance, proving our main character might fight in the name of good, but she’s no angel.”
Like in Buffy, the main character Ava just wants to be a normal girl but is forced in this situation where she is battling evil. Then there are all the other members of the warrior nuns who aren’t very happy about Ava coming in as the chosen one to take all the glory. But, regardless they find themselves working together to fight against a villain who has opened a gateway to heaven.
